This is Mikey around December 15. She was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in early summer. For various reasons, we chose to concentrate our efforts on making her as comfortable as possible for her remaining time, which was predicted to be about 3 months. However, eight months later, she continues to hang in there and still seems to feel pretty good, although the tumor continues to grow. We feel blessed to be able to have her with us for one more Christmas. -- Mary Berk |
